Who am I?

My name is Hjalti. I'm Icelandic, living in London and I am an avid runner and a certified boot camp instructor. My favorite distance is the marathon, but I do love me a good trail whenever I can find it. 

I believe that strength training makes us better runners while it has also It has been scientifically proven to reduce the risk of injury and improve your general movement
 

Why did I start Bearded Running?

Let me know if the following
scenario sounds familiar:

You're following a programme building up to do a race. You know how important strength training is, but it's hard to find the time to go to the gym!

This is generally how things usually go for me. So I started trying to add a few strength exercises at the back of my runs. Short sessions, focusing on the major movements

And now I'd like to share them with you too!
